Pastor John graduated from Eugene Bible College in 1978 with a degree in Pastoral Studies. During his early years of ministry he served as a youth pastor and church planter in the Pacific Northwest. Later after founding the ministry of Successful Stewardship Seminars and directing it for ten years, he re-entered pastoral ministry in 2000. Since then, he served as an associate pastor in Rockford, Illinois, and then moved to the south bay in 2003 to pastor NHIC.
He has a passion for people and a vision for planting churches throughout Silicon Valley. His favorite pastime is cruising on his 1200cc Royal Star.
Executive Pastor Doug Trentham
Douglas Trentham is a graduate of Eugene Bible College. He ministered previously as a Youth Pastor, Music Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Executive Pastor before becoming a Senior Pastor in 1984. He has served as a leader for 19 years on the National Youth Board, 21 years on the board of Eugene Bible College, 32 years on the Pacific Regional Board, and 9 years as District Superintendent of the Open Bible Northwest District Churches.
His hobbies consists of interior design and floral design. Doug and Wilda have been married 38 years and have one son, Chadwick.
Associate Pastor Marshal Morse
After earning his BA from Central Bible College and his MDiv from Regent College in Vancouver, BC, Marshal taught Bible and theology for five years at Zion Bible College in RI. In addition he was a co-pastor and co-founder of Renaissance-Church, a progressive church plant reaching the young adult and arts community of Providence. In March of 2007 he joined the staff of New Hope as an associate pastor focused on community outreach. Marshal has a calling to plant churches and will be the pastor of NHIC’s first church plant.
Marshal enjoys spending time with his wife Stacy and his two kids, Ellia and Caleb. His hobbies include reading, camping, technology, barbecuing, and web design.
Creative Arts and Worship Pastor Connie Christenson
Connie directs the creative arts and music ministry at NHIC. In addition to her passion for music, she is pursuing her degree in psychology through Regent University in order to provide pastoral counselling to individuals and families.
Connie's loves include her family as well as her chocolate lab, Bosley, and Reggie, a pitbull mix.
Student Ministries Pastor Caleb Christenson
Born in the Glorious 80's. 1984 to be exact. Caleb Christenson, a native to the rainy state of Oregon (Not Ory-Gon), has lived, worked and studied in California for over four years. Currently he serves as Student Ministries Pastor at New Hope, business owner, and nursing student. He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Stacey, camping and interpretive dance. Seriously. Urban legend has it that Caleb can be found mobbing the south bay in the church van.
"Discovery Kidz" Pastor Sheba Lagasca
Sheba was born in the Philippines and immigrated to USA in 1985. She earned a Bachelor degree in Theology from FBC, Philippines. She pursued further studies in Early Childhoold Education in San Jose. For the past 18 years she has directed a preschool and school age program in Silicon Valley. In May of 2007 she joined the staff at NHIC. Sheba has a big heart for children. During her free time she loves to go to the beach with her husband, Niel and dine out at a fancy restaurant with her son, Nyl, and daughter, Hanna.
Pastors Roberto and Daisy Morales are from Puerto Rico. They were brought to the Bay Area in 1976. Their ministry as teachers of the Word is recognized in this area.
Both are graduated from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico. It is their passion to serve the Lord and the Latino community through the Hispanic Ministry. They enjoy spending time with the Body of Christ, their children and grandchildren.
